Modern Languages success in NSS 2015

The results of the National Student Survey 2015 (NSS) have now been released, revealing good news for the Department of Modern Languages.

The NSS is an independent UK-wide survey of all 155 higher education institutions, providing an opportunity for final-year students to independently rate their experience at university.

The survey ran from January until April this year, targeting students towards the end of their degree, and the results published yesterday, 12 August 2015.

The Department received a major endorsement for its teaching quality, with the student score for teaching satisfaction at 91% in French, 92% in Iberian Studies (Hispanic Studies) and 93% in Italian. (As a small subject area, German does not have enough participating students for NSS results.)

Congratulations to our academic and support staff for providing excellent teaching to achieve this result, and we would like to thank all of our students who participated in the survey.
