The results of the National Student Survey 2015 (NSS) have now been released, revealing good news for the Department of Classical & Archaeological Studies.

The NSS is an independent UK-wide survey of all 155 higher education institutions, providing an opportunity for final-year students to independently rate their experience at university.

The survey ran from January until April this year, targeting students towards the end of their degree, and the results published yesterday, 12 August 2015.

The Department saw two successes – with both Archaeology and Classics categories ranked 1st in the UK for overall satisfaction; with Archaeology scoring 99% for teaching satisfaction, and Classics scoring 97%.

Congratulations to our academic and support staff for providing excellent teaching to achieve this result, and we would like to thank all of our students who participated in the survey.
