English Language & Linguistics Research Day

The Department of English Language & Linguistics is holding a Postgraduate Research Day on Tuesday 9 June in Keynes Lecture Theatre 3.

The event will include presentations from postgraduate students, staff and guests and includes Anya Lunden on ‘Explaining Final Stress Lapse’, Sumio Kobayashi on ‘The Influence of the Mother Tongue on Prosodic Perception’, Heidi Colthup on ‘Playing Inside the Box – How Medium Constrains Narrative’ and David Hornsby on ‘The Kent Coalfield, the Pub Landlord and the FOOT-STRUT Split’. The event will end with a round table discussion on ‘Kreating a Korpus at Kent’ followed by drinks and dinner.

This event follows the English Language & Linguistics undergraduate conference which took place last week.
