As published in The Guardian University Guide 2016 on Monday, the University of Kent is now ranked 16th out of 119 UK universities, its highest league table position to date with a rise of four places.

The Department of Religious Studies was within the UK top ten, ranked at 8th in the UK. This is an excellent achievement for the Department, climbing eight places from its ranking of 16th in The Guardian last year.

The Guardian‘s league table ranks higher education institutions in Britain using a complex algorithm that takes in data from a variety of sources, including the National Student Survey, and a set of metrics including staff/student ratios, expenditure, entry scores and career prospects, among others.
