The online version of The Independent newspaper has published an article by Leah Craig, a third-year student on the BA (Hons) in English Language & Linguistics and English & American Literature.
In the article, entitled ‘Student Housing: Why You Should Never Live With Your Friends’, dated Tuesday 17 March, Leah looks at the challenges faced by students when choosing a housemate and the problems that may arise. She points out ‘living together has the potential to deteriorate any relationship, so your friends may not be the best pick when it comes to housemates.’
Leah submitted the article to The Independent as part of the assessment for the module LL530 Writing In The Media: A Practical Approach, in which students were required to write an article pitch and submit it to an existing magazine, newspaper or website.
