The Department of Philosophy at Kent has been ranked 12th in the UK for research impact, and 16th for research intensity by the Times Higher Education based on results from REF2014. These rankings, which adjust a department’s REF score by the proportion of its staff included in the REF assessment exercise, show the Department at Kent to be well-placed nationally having increased the proportion of its work graded world-leading and internationally-excellent since RAE2008 while continuing to submit all its staff for assessment.
