Jonathan Kasstan, PhD student in the Department of English Language & Linguistics, has been appointed Maître de langue étrangère at the Institut du monde anglophone, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 for two years.
The Université Sorbonne Nouvelle [New Sorbonne University] is a public university, founded in 1971, following the division of the previous University of Paris. At the Institute du monde anglophone [Institute of World English], Jonathan will be teaching courses in English phonology, with a particular focus on intonation.
Jonathan is currently writing up his PhD thesis on variation and change in Francoprovençal, a Gallo-Romance language spoken in parts of France, Switzerland and Italy.
