Kristoffer Ahlstrom-Vij discusses character online

Dr Kristoffer Ahlstrom-Vij from the Department of Philosophy has just been featured in an online video project discussing his research on intellectual character. The underlying research was conducted by Kristoffer as part of the Character Project from 2012-13.

The Character Project is a John Templeton Foundation funded project at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, US. It aims to explore our understanding of character from a variety of perspectives, including psychology, philosophy and theology. As a way of showcasing its research to a wider audience, the project has produced a series of YouTube videos that showcase funding winners discussing their research in an accessible manner.

In Kristoffer’s video, he has teamed with Dr Nathan King from Whitworth University in Washington to discuss intellectual character, and the virtues of intellectual perseverance and deference, in particular. The video is a dialogue between Kristoffer and Nathan, and can be found here:
