Congratulations to our final-year students from the School of European Culture and Languages (SECL) who are graduating today with their well-earned degrees. This is the culmination of three or four years of hard work, or longer for part-time students.
Several students in the School have also won additional awards. The Faculty has awarded the Humanities Rotary Prize (for excellence in their subject) to two SECL students: Emily Cook (from English Language & Linguistics) and Joseph Bowen (from Philosophy). And the following prizes have been awarded by the School: Davide Alfredo Mule Marchese – the SECL Joint Honours Prize for the best first-class mark from a joint honours student, and Joel Tennant – the SECL Employability Prize, for which he organised and ran the English Language & Linguistics Society Undergraduate Festival.
