Linguistics event now on Storify

The Twitter reactions from the Research Day event hosted by the Department of English Language & Linguistics last week have been uploaded to Storify, the online network to store social media content.

The day-long event comprised of eight talks from a mix of postgraduate students, staff and guests. Highlights of the day were talks by two external speakers: Marzena Zygis (Zentre for General Linguistics in Berlin, Germany) talked on ‘Prosodic Aspects of Whispered Speech’ and Christos Pliatsikas (School of Psychology, University of Kent) gave a talk entitled ‘The Effects of Bilingualism on Grey and White Matter Structure’.  The day ended with a workshop on the peer-review and publication process lead by Professor Amalia Arvaniti.
