Sophia Labadi to open heritage conference

The Centre for Heritage at Kent is co-organising, with the Center for Heritage and Society at the University of Massachusetts, an international conference entitled ‘Heritage and Healthy Societies’. This conference will bring together heritage scholars from a wide range of sectors to examine the potential of cultural heritage to contribute to a more sustainable future. There will be cross-disciplinary explorations of the intersections of  heritage and environment, resilience, and wellness.

Dr Sophia Labadi, Lecturer in Heritage within the Department of Classical & Archaeological Studies, will open the conference, and present a paper on her latest research on museums, migrants and human rights.  She will also speak about on extending the international cooperation between the Kent and Massachusetts, for future research and publications, teaching and grant applications.
