Centre for Modern European Literature welcomes Visiting Research Fellow

Starting in Autumn 2013, the Centre for Modern European Literature is launching a new programme of Visiting Research Fellowships. We are delighted to announce that the inaugural Fellow is Dr Marcel Lepper, who will be in Canterbury from 28 October to 16 November. As part of his Fellowship, Dr Lepper will be giving a lecture entitled ‘Big Data’ (5 November), in which he will engage with recent theories of World Literature, as well as leading a workshop on ‘Archival Research’ (6 November).

Marcel Lepper is Director of Research at the Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach. One of the pivotal younger figures in the research landscape of contemporary Germanistik, Dr Lepper has taught at universities in Germany and the US, and is an Editor of both Geschichte der Germanistik and the Zeitschrift für Ideengeschichte. His principal publications include the co-edited volumes Strukturalismus in Deutschland. Literatur- und Sprachwissenschaft 1910-1975 (2010) and Entdeckung der frühen Neuzeit.
