The Department of German are seeking to appoint a Language Co-ordinator, who will provide strategic leadership to the continued development of language modules and the promotion of German at Kent in accordance with the University of Kent’s regional and international mission.
The Language Co-ordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of all German language modules and support additional activities in German. She or he will write or supervise the writing of all tests, exams and resits for language modules in German, and mark and moderate exams. The Language Co-ordinator will also mentor the OEAD Lektor/In, and will be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising the language assistants and part-time members of language teaching staff. He or she will also contribute some teaching to German language modules and support teaching-related, extra-curricular departmental activities.
