Report on ‘Making Sense of the Census’

A report from the symposium ‘Making Sense of the Census‘ has just been published.

The symposium, which was co-organised by Dr Abby Day from the Department of Religious Studies and held by the British Sociological Association’s Sociology of Religion Study Group in London on 18 June, proved to be a sell-out success. Thirteen speakers representing a wide-range academic disciplines and religious organisations presented papers about the census, ranging from how it helps identify and clarify religious identities to how it masks and blurs them.
