Dr Edward Kanterian, from the Department of Philosophy, has co-organised the annual conference series, Later German Philosophy Conference, for 10 September 2013.
Entitled ‘Mind, Language, World: From Dilthey to Wittgenstein’, the conference will look at look at conceptions of language and their relations to major issues in metaphysics and the philosophy of mind as they were discussed by figures such as Wilhelm Dilthey, Gottlob Frege, Edmund Husserl, Martin Heidegger, Ernst Cassirer, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Karl Jaspers and Theodor W. Adorno.
