Philosophy postgrad wins award for teaching

The Kent Union Awards celebrate the achievements of University of Kent students for the outstanding work they undertake while members of clubs and societies of Kent Union. Nominated by fellow students, the awards recognise individuals in a number of categories, such as ‘Dedication to Volunteering’, ‘Outstanding Contribution to Student Media’ and ‘Campaigner of the year’.

The winner of the category ‘Postgraduates who Teach’ was Philosophy PhD student Michael Wilde, who is studying and undertaking a SECL Graduate Teaching Assistantship.

Commenting on the award, Michael said ‘I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all those students who nominated me and who attached some very kind comments in support of their nominations.’

We would like to congratulate Michael on this well-deserved award.
