MA in Archaeology scholarships available

SECL is pleased to invite applications for a scholarship funding study at MA level in Archaeology. These funds are awarded by the AHRC. This award provides funding for the MA courses on Archaeology for those aiming to become professional archaeologists and in particular go on to study for a doctorate in Archaeology.

The award covers tuition fees at the Home/EU rate and a maintenance grant (the 2012 rate was £13,590). To be eligible candidates need to have applied for a taught MA in Archaeology (MA Archaeology or MA in The Archaeology of the Transmanche) for the academic year commencing September 2013.

Candidates must hold a first-class BA Degree in a relevant subject, or hold an equivalent non-UK qualification.

Candidates must then send a supporting statement of research interests and ambitions, not exceeding 500 words, outlining why they feel they are suitable for the scholarship (submitted to seclpgadmin@kent.ac.uk).

The deadline for applications is Thursday 4 April 2013.
