Paul March Russell at the Folkestone Book Festival

Dr Paul March-Russell from the Department of Comparative Literature will be leading a discussion at the Folkstone Book Festival on the science-fiction film Fahrenheit 451 (1966), based the novel by Ray Bradury.  The session will be on Wednesday 7 November. Tickets are still available for this event, so book soon to avoid disappointment as they cost just £4.50 for a student.

The festival is taking place all this week across the town, from the Saga Pavilion through to the Quarterhouse, taking in the Leas Cliff Hall, The Grand and the Glassworks on the way. It has a programme for all ages starting with pre-school and writers for all tastes.

Paul will be joined by Paul Kincaid and Maureen Kincaid-Speller, to discuses the film and  pay tribute to the late Ray Bradbury.

The session will begin at 5pm with a screening of Fahrenheit 451, followed by a roundtable discussion at 6.30 pm, and an interview with science-fiction author Christopher Priest at 8pm. Tickets cost £6.50 /  £4.50 concessions.
