These awards, organised by Kent Union give students the opportunity to nominate staff who they believe have gone the extra mile in their role.
The Above and Beyond Awards were launched by Kent Union to celebrate outstanding members of staff, both academic and non-academic. Students nominate staff who they believe have gone above and beyond in their role, and a real source of pride for each nominee.
After a two year hiatus, due to the global pandemic, the event held to celebrate these staff had a bumper crop, with staff who had been nominated since 2020 in attendance.
Dr Jake Bicknell, Dr Sarah Johns, Dr Anna Waldstein, Dr Simon Black and Dr Joe Bull pictured here, were all proud recipients, winning themselves the very covetable Above and Beyond red mug.
‘It was a great honour to have my hard work and passion for working with students recognised at the Above and Beyond event, and to be there alongside my wonderful colleagues.’ Bicknell responded.
