PhD student wins the 2017 Richard Evans Schultes Research Award

Ashley Glenn, currently doing her PhD in Ethnobiology, has won this year’s Richard E. Schultes Award from the Society for Economic Botany, to support her research project Tastes Like Home: Migrating Bosnian Foodways, exploring the ethnobotany of Bosnian refugees in the St Louis area of the United States. The award was presented at the Annual Society of Economic Botany Meeting held in Bragança, Portugal. Created in 2001, the award honours the late Dr Richard Evans Schultes, intrepid explorer of the Amazon and one of the founders of modern ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology.
