How Scientists Are Racing to Save a Rare Hawaiian Bird From Extinction

A new article in Audubon Magazine reports on the work of PhD student, Hanna Mounce, and her team as they look to save rare Hawaiian birds from extinction.

Hanna is the project co-ordinator for the  Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project and leads a team who monitor the current bird populations and create new territory specifically for the Kiwikiu, Maui’s most endangered bird.
