Are you a post-doctoral student looking for a Research Associate role in biomechanics with experience in validation experiments of musculoskeletal models?

The School for Anthropology and Conservation are recruiting onto the project ‘GRASP – The Evolution of the Human Hand; Grasping Trees and Tools’ for an initial fixed term period of 1 year and full time.

As Post-doctoral Research Associate in Biomechanics you will:

  • take the lead in writing peer-reviewed papers on relevant research
  • give presentations
  • travel to Austria and Belgium to consult with colleagues and conduct validation experiments

As Post-doctoral Research Associate in Biomechanics you will have:

  • a PhD or equivalent in a topic relevant to biomechanics and validation experiments
  • experience of analysing biomechanical data
  • have a track record of peer-reviewed publications

If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, this is a great opportunity to join the team in the Animal Postcranial Evolution (APE) Lab within the School of Anthropology and Conservation.

Interviews: There will be a long listing process where those applicants will be contacted by Dr Tracy Kivell over Skype (between 29 June – 3 July 2015).
A short list for final panel interview will then be made and interviews due to take place week commencing 13 July 2015.
