Researchers examine a 1.9 million year old pelvis

Recent research by Dr Matt Skinner, published in the Journal of Human Evolution, suggests that early humans had tiny hips and spindly legs.

Fossilised pelvis and femur found in Rift Valley, Kenya are considerably narrower than those of modern humans. It is believed that the fossils are 1.9 million years old and belong to either Homo rudolfensis or Homo habilis, two species of human ancestor that evolved in Africa.

A report about this research has recently been published by the Main Online. It is expected that this significant research will attract further media attention.
