Research Award for PhD Student

Nejm Benessaiah, a second year PhD student in Ethnobiology, has won a research award from the Royal Anthropological Institute’s Emslie Horniman Fund, to support his research project in Algeria, entitled Authority, Anarchy or Equity: How Algerian agrarian households organise to manage change in a desert oasis. Nejm is spending the summer in Canterbury, analyzing his results and preparing for a final three months of fieldwork in September.
