Ethnobotany MSc student Emma Cooper has won a competition by writing an entry for the Encyclopedia of LIfe on Origanum syriacum, Syrian oregano, or Bible Hyssop. Her prize is a behind-the-scenes tour of the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC.
Emma is currently working on her dissertation project entitled Co-production and transformation of knowledge regarding novel crops among digitally-literate homegardeners and allotmenteers in the UK, and is the author of The Alternative Kitchen Garden: An A-Z and the Allotment Pocket Bible.
