WAS IT GOOD FOR YOU: FELICITY BOURDILLON REFLECTS

School of Psychology’s recent graduate Felicity Bourdillon reflects on how meaningful her extra-curricular activities were to her whilst studying at Kent.

Felicity’s time at the University of Kent and School of Psychology was enriched by the awe-inspiring opportunities she experienced. From singing in multiple choirs, to performing in Canterbury’s most beautiful venues, Felicity thoroughly enjoyed her time at Kent and the rich adventures that music gave to her.

“Getting involved with the music department was one of the best decisions I made.”

As a result of the Music Department’s amazing opportunities, Felicity found her confidence as a musician, and as an individual. Being surrounded by other young musicians and talented department staff helped Felicity to become an extraordinary musician, with many other skills also being nurtured carefully during her time at Kent.

Felicity was an integral part of the music department and to Kent Music Society, as their president. She notes that when she first started, the Music Society were so welcoming. Starting university can be an anxious transition for many, but Felicity’s worries were calmed when she met many other students who shared in her passion for music.

She made her presidential farewell address at the Gala concert, a concert that Felicity and many of her closest friends had been working towards.

“To have all these shared music experiences, makes the friendships even stronger.”
