On the 19th November 2021, our recently graduated MPharm student Georgina Gillard won the C + D awards for “Pre-registration/Provisionally Registered Pharmacist of the Year” this was because she created a COVID-19 Mental Health Awareness and Signposting service. 42% of those patients were PwE and for those patients as well as all other patients with epilepsy, she provided MURs, general medicine and epilepsy advice. Not a service Community Pharmacies get paid for however she chose to do it to help those patients. Inspired to do that by Dr Trudy Thomas, a senior Lecturer, Director of Taught Graduate Studies and Deputy Head of School that, she won this brilliant award. Congratulations from MSoP!
