Lynsey Mahmood is the London and Home Counties (LHC) Rep for PsyPAG, and has advised that there is an event coming up in November for PG students. Watch this space and your emails for further information.
Lynsey Mahmood wants to let the other PG students know that I am here to represent them as members of a LHC Branch institution and that I aim to provide a link between the BPS branch and PG students. If any PG students have ideas for workshops or events that they would like to see held locally I can try and get these arranged via both LHC and PsyPAG.
The November event is “Presenting with Panache”- a workshop to help PG students develop skills and confidence in presenting to a professional audience. It is also a chance to network with other PG students at various stages and make contacts in the LHC area. The workshop is on Friday November 29th, 1-5pm at the BPS London Offices (30 Tabernacle Street). Applications for a space need to be made by November 15th by emailing londonandhc@googlemail.com with PG Presentations in the subject line. The workshop fee is £10 which includes tea/coffee and biscuits!
