Travelling by air:
Most UK in-bound flights arrive at London Heathrow Airport. From there, it is recommended that passengers take the Piccadilly Underground Line to Kings Cross/St Pancras to catch the high speed train from St Pancras International rail station to Canterbury West station. Passengers arriving at London Gatwick airport can take an over-ground train to Canterbury West station, changing at Tonbridge station.  Passengers arriving at London City airport can take the Docklands Light Railway to Stratford or Stratford International stations, and then take the high speed train to Canterbury West from Stratford International station. Depending on train connections, it is possible to travel between Heathrow and Canterbury in two and a half hours, between Gatwick and Canterbury in two hours and between London City airport and Canterbury in around an hour and forty five minutes.

Travelling by Eurostar:
The Eurostar rail service from continental Europe stops at Ashford International train station, where passengers can then connect to local train services to Canterbury West. The journey time between Ashford International and Canterbury is usually around twenty minutes.

Train services to Canterbury West station:
The fastest train service to Canterbury West station from central London is the high speed service from St Pancras International station, which is available on platforms 11-13 on the upper platform level at St Pancras. This direct train normally departs St Pancras at 40 or 42 minutes past the hour, and the journey time to Canterbury West is just under an hour. It is also possible to take the high speed train service to Dover Priory, which usually departs St Pancras at 10 or 12 minutes past the hour, and to change at Ashford International for a connecting train service to Canterbury West, for which the journey takes around an hour and twenty minutes. When arriving at Canterbury West, it is possible to take a taxi to your accommodation or the conference centre, but the conference venue and conference hotels are generally no more than a 30 minute walk from the station.
