Canterbury Pride 2021 – Everyone Welcome!

Canterbury Pride is this Saturday, 11 September, and we are happy to share details about the parade and day.

Full information can be found on Pride’s website , but the Parade starts at 11.30am, leading in to the Dane John Gardens, where there will be a host of performers providing an afternoon of music, DJs and fun.

Everyone is welcome to come along and watch the parade, but if you would like to join in, Kent will be taking part and we encourage everyone to get involved. To join in, you will need to collect a wristband prior to parade check in. Information for both spectators and participants can be found here.

We would love to have as many Kent staff marching as possible, to show the wider community what a vibrant LGBT+ community we have here at Kent, and the strong ally support we offer.

If you would like to join the parade with the Kent LGBT+ Team, please let us know by emailing lgbtstaffnetwork@kent.ac.uk no later than 5pm on Thursday 9 September. We will then be in touch with details about when we will meet prior to the start of the parade to distribute wristbands.

Banners, flags and music are strongly encouraged, so please do bring them along.

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible
