On Tuesday 30 July 2019, Learning & Organisational Development welcomed over 30 participants from the three cohorts of the Foundations of Management programme which have run during 2018-19.
The event marked the conclusion of the Foundations of Management programme. Participants had been divided into small groups during the programme and asked to work together on a case study to present which demonstrated their learning on the course.
Participants showed a huge range of innovative ideas from creating a story book to using interactive technology such as Ombea, to present on a wide range of topics including flexible working, sickness absence and performance management which are all topics covered on the programme.
It was an enjoyable morning with a great atmosphere and the L&OD team would like to thank all the participants who took part in this year’s programme.
Foundations of Management is L&OD’s programme for new managers or more experienced managers who are new to the university. For details of L&OD programmes click here. The call for nominations for leadership and management programmes will be coming out over the next few weeks. Interested members of staff should discuss potential nominations with their managers.
