University of Kent/ Valuing Everyone – Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) Report 2017-18 is now approved and live.

The report showcases details on the strategic approach to EDI, while also detailing all of the actions and events that occurred at the university during 2017-18, plus the great work performed across all departments and schools, for staff and students.  

The report highlights case studies from individuals and departments which show how we embed an inclusive culture across all areas and identify areas of best practice.  

Data collected within the HR system was reviewed and analysed against Benchmark data and as a result there have been a number of areas for action identified for improvement for the 2018-19 plan.  

The report also reviewed the current environmental landscape and provides a detailed work plan to show how the university intend to support changes and continue to move EDI forward and embed it into everything that we do.
