FAQs on Apprenticeships

What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship can be offered to new or existing employees. This is accompanied by training and the development of essential and transferable skills, knowledge and behaviours. It is a way for anyone, of any age and experience, to develop their skills further or support their career aspirations.

There would be no change; a variation of contract is issued to allow you to complete your Apprenticeship programme by learning and working during your contracted hours.

There are currently over 550 different standards, across a large range of industries and job occupations, from entry level to Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.
