Dr Manolo Guerci writes: “Having served the school in various roles since I first joined it in 2010, and after five years as Director of Graduate Studies where I have been closely involved with its management, I am delighted to take up this new role, and new challenges! KSAP has a lot to be proud of, and I will work with all constituencies towards addressing some of our challenges, current to medium and longer term, from managing Covid to NSS and league tables, from content and curriculum development to internationalisation in a post-Brexit scenario.
Dr Guerci has recently written about turning adversity into opportunities, and will continue to work towards this end with students and staff.
“If there is an aspect which is praised year on year by the students, it is staff dedication. This year in particular I have indeed been humbled by the extraordinary amount of dedication and effort put in by everyone in response to the pandemic, and by the many good things we achieved in spite of it all. This shows the best of what team working towards a common goal can do and I would like my role to be one of collaboration and shared efforts.
I would like to thank the Stage Coordinators and the extended Strategy Group who, together with the Task Force, have ensured the smooth running of the Programme so far. I shall look forward to continuing working with everyone.”
