Senior Lecturer and Director of Graduate Studies, Dr Manolo Guerci, delivered a public lecture earlier this week, on Monday 23 November. Dr Guerci’s lecture titled, ‘Urban transformations in Rome during the pontificate of Alexander VII Chigi, the great patron of Gian Lorenzo Bernini (1655-1667)’, was part of a series of lectures on a variety of historical topics organised by Professor Giovanni Aldobrandini, Dr Guerci’s PhD benefactor at St John’s College, Cambridge.
Dr Manolo Guerci also gave a lecture earlier this year, as part of the recent Summer Series, ‘Palladio and Palladianism, Genius versus Pragmatism’, which is available to watch on YouTube.
