First KASA Open Lecture of the year hosted by Tara and Seun Lanre Gbolade

Kent Architectural Student Association (KASA) are pleased to announce the first open lecture of the year will be given by Tara and Seun Lanre Gbolade, founders of Gbolade Design Studio (GDS) on Tuesday 29 September at 18.00, taking place on Microsoft Teams.

GDS is an award winning architecture practice and sustainability consultancy, founded by Tara and Seun Lanre Gbolade. The practice specialises in residential and mixed-use developments for public and private sector clients in urban and suburban settings, through insight-led place-making. They achieve this through their ethos of being: design-led, commercially viable, innovative, and sustainable.

RIBAJ Rising Star award winner Tara brings her expertise in design and planning policy, and currently works with local authorities including Epping Forest DC, Purley Regeneration Area (Croydon), and the government-designated Harlow & Gilston Garden Town, where she leads the development and implementation of their austainability strategies, setting the direction for the environmental and socio-economic sustainability ambitions, ensuring that high quality sustainable design is embedded within new residential developments, and, the regeneration of existing communities.

Seun brings his expertise on large scale residential architecture, property development and design management. He has a passion for and expertise in all things digital, innovation, off-site construction and collaborative working. As such, he is a member of the Collective Works network and RIBA Council Member. He has worked with some of the largest developers in London and leads a Production Innovation Team with a prominent housing association and residential developer.

Tara and Seun are also developers of the MyPart3 App- an iOS mobile application designed to help architecture students navigate the transition between studying in university and life-in- practice.
