Study carrels are individual study rooms in the Templeman Library available to all students. Each lockable room has a desk, chair and lamp.
How do I book?
- Book online at https://kent.siso.co/is/
- They are free of charge and available whenever the Library is open
- 1 booking per day per person
- Bookings can be made up to 4 weeks in advance or when you need one
- Bring evidence of your booking to the Welcome Desk to collect your key
- You must follow the carrel regulations
Where are the bookable study carrels?
There are 32 carrels available for daily bookings:
16 carrels on B Block, Floor 1, overlooking the Library Café
12 carrels on B Block, Floor 3, overlooking Floor 2 study space.
2 carrels in the D Block, Floor 1 PC room.
2 carrels in the D Block, Floor 3 PC room
There are also 4 Postgraduate Researcher carrels that can be booked for a small fee in B Block, Floor 3.
The carrels on the first floor are for undergraduates. Unfortunately there are no silent carrels for undergraduates as these are for postgraduates.
Hello, I want to book a carrell in a silent study area but the only ones shown on the app are on the first floor.
