Erasmus+ programme broadens horizons of international exchange

As part of a project supported by the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme, Kent has recently hosted a staff training visit from Director of International Programs and Partnerships at Bar Ilan University (BIU), Israel. Daniel Schuval is visiting Kent to learn more about Kent’s approach to internationalisation and to identify means of making the most of existing links between our institutions.

Erasmus+ offers opportunities for students to study and staff to teach or train in higher education institutions (HEIs) beyond Europe. It makes the same opportunities available for staff and students from countries beyond Europe to participating HEIs in Europe. Kent was also awarded funding to support teacher mobility between Kent’s School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research (SSPSSR) and the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at BIU. Professor Orna Sasson-Levy led seminars at Kent this month, and Kent’s Professor of Sociology Larry Ray made a return visit to BIU at the end of April.
