Experiment repository and workshops

If you are looking to start building your own experiments, then the Psychology Technical team has been building up a resource for Staff and Students, containing example experiment scripts in PsychoPy and EPrime:

https://www.kent.ac.uk/psychology/technical/experiments.html

Our main focus and support is for PsychoPy, but we will continue to support EPrime for the foreseeable future, as well as Inquisit for online based studies.   Over time this resource will grow, and aim to give you some sample scripts to perform common tasks.

Recent additions show PsychoPy integration with the Tobii T60XL and Eyelink eyetrackers, as well as integration with parallel cables for sending signals to EEG and TMS.   There is also a batch script now available that can be used to merge PsychoPy data files into a single CSV, which PsychoPy does not provide out of the box.

As well as the various samples available, be sure to check out our guidance and tips at https://www.kent.ac.uk/psychology/technical/experiment-tips.html

If you are completely new to PsychoPy and would like an introduction, then we have our PsychoPy training workshops freely available:

Any problems, feel free to get in touch with us at the usual technical support address.
