December GCDC Hangout

Climate Change as a Global Challenge

The GCDC was delighted to welcome staff and students from across the University to its second GCDC Hangout on Thursday, 5 November, in the Graduate School. The event was attended by around twenty-five staff members and postgraduate students.

The session kicked off with lunch, followed by a discussion on a specific global challenge – this time led by GCDC deputy director, Dr Frank Grundig, and focusing on climate change. Frank provided some background on his research, invited participants to introduce themselves and their research and gave a brief presentation on ‘Climate Change as a Global Challenge’. The presentation was followed by a discussion between participants, who came from a variety of disciplines.
