We are delighted to announce from 4th January – 28th February 2017, a risk pilot exercise will take place. The purpose of the pilot is to provide areas with the opportunity to review their significant and contingency risks, test out new reporting mechanisms and trial a new risk scoring matrix. This is also an ideal opportunity to review all other risks and consider any emerging ones too.
The areas taking part in the pilot are:
- Student Services – Director Wayne Campbell [Alison Gurr – nominated champion]
- Research – Director Simon Kerridge
- International Development –Director Joanne Ganderton-Smith
- Finance Department – Deputy Director Frank Richardson and Head of Financial Planning Garry Beesley
Supporting effective risk management across the University ensures we continue to embed positive attitudes, behaviours and culture. As we ‘Champion’ risk management we should feel empowered to drive through change, create a positive risk culture and continue to raise risk awareness and understanding broadly across the University.
The new Risk and Financial Compliance webpage can be accessed via the Staff Finance website as an option in the left hand side Information and services menu. Please feel free to browse through the contents, and do not hesitate to get in touch for any risk related matter by contacting the generic mailbox which can be found at riskandcompliance@kent.ac.uk
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those involved in the pilot.
