Universities are at constant risk from fraud, ranging from sophisticated electronic frauds to payment diversion. Universities and staff are also at risk of prosecution for any acts of bribery conducted on their behalf.
We should all remain vigilant to the risks, take action where appropriate and report concerns when they arise. The British Universities Finance Directors’ Group (BUFDG) has released a short e-learning module that can be completed in around 20 minutes. This is suitable for all staff, and can be accessed here by anyone with a BUFDG login. To create a login, simply click here.
