Over the past year the Financial Reporting team have been working on a project to review and update the University Financial Regulations, policies and procedures. The first phase of this work, to re-write the University Financial Regulations, has now been completed and the updated regulations were approved by the Finance and Resources Committee in June 2019.
This update includes changes to ensure that the regulations reflect the current legal and regulatory requirements, but also to ensure that the document is written in plain english as much as possible, and is easier to navigate.
The new regulations take effect from 1 August 2019 and can be found on the Finance Department web pages.
The next stage of the project will be to review and update all financial policies and procedures, and to add new ones where required.
