We are pleased to let you know that Aidan Cooley has been appointed to the new Deputy Director of Finance, following an interview and selection process. This role will deputise for Frank Richardson and Aidan’s portfolio will include Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Financial Strategy and Budgeting, all of which are pivotal areas to ensure our financial sustainability.
Aidan took up his new role from Monday 24th June, and we will be thinking carefully about how we transition him into this role as he will create a gap in the Financial Accounting team. It’s inevitable that there may be some stretching across both roles for an interim period, and it may be a while until Aidan is fully able to flesh out the Deputy Director role. We will be considering the next steps with regards to his Head of Financial Accounting role.
Aidan will bring tenacity, integrity and inquiry to the role and will help strengthen our management arrangements and I’m sure you’ll join us in congratulating Aidan on his success.
