Melanie Nye, our Assistant Director of Finance (Strategy and Planning), is leaving the University on Tuesday 23rd January, to return to working in the NHS, after a long time with us in Higher Education. She will be very much missed and we wish her well in her new role.
We will be recruiting a replacement for Melanie in due course. In the meantime, Andrew Brown is providing cover for Melanie’s role and supporting the Management Accounts and Budgeting teams.
Mel will be on site on her last day and we’re planning to have some drinks in K Bar with her to celebrate her new role. Please do join us from 4pm on Tuesday 23rd.
Graham Mason from the Insurance Office has retired and would like to wish Graham a long and happy retirement. The University has appointed Naren Lathigra as an interim to maintain the Insurance Function whilst we recruit a permanent successor. Please direct queries to the Insurance Office in future at insurance@kent.ac.uk
We would also like to wish Vicky Gatward-Warner, our Finance Business Partner (PSD), all the best for the future as she will be leaving the University after 17 years. Vicky’s last working day will be Thursday 25th January.
