We have decided to postpone the start of the finance restructuring consultation until the week commencing September 4th.
We understand that this period may be uncertain and worrying for some of you, and we want to assure you that we are committed to being as supportive and consultative as possible throughout this process. We recognise the frustration this postponement may cause and would like to explain the rationale behind it.
The decision to postpone the consultation was based on several factors. Firstly, we are aware that it is a busy time for our finance colleagues as end-of-year processes are being worked through. Additionally, many colleges will be taking annual leave during the month of August, and we want to ensure that as many of you as possible can fully engage in the consultation.
Moreover, the extra time will allow our HR team to thoroughly prepare and ensure we have all the relevant materials ready to kick off the consultation effectively.
We will be in touch in due course to confirm the specific date when invitations for the consultation meetings will be issued.
