Enhancements to Key Travel Online Booking Platform

 As part of our continued investment to enhance the customer journey and experience – including the recent launch of the Key Travel customer service portal, WhatsApp and SMS messaging, and WebChat – we are pleased to update with an important addition to the online booking portal.

Until now, our flights search algorithm searched primarily by the ‘lowest logical fare’, meaning some flight searches may have returned only the very lowest fares, which nowadays may not include checked baggage as airlines increasingly move to ‘fare families’.

Now, the portal will return not only the very lowest fares, but also the next fare which includes checked baggage. This functionality was activated last Friday and has seen baggage queries drop considerably across our customer base and Operations team.

 Bookers can also use the baggage filter to simplify their view and show only fares including checked bags:

 

Please note: low-cost airlines (Easyjet, etc) will continue to show ‘0 bags’, and checked bags can be added at checkout using the ‘Add Hold Luggage’ function.

Further exciting enhancements to the booking portal will be announced and launched in the coming months, bringing even more functionality and options to self-service online.
