One Time Passwords needed for Credit Card / Procurement Card Usage over £210

Since 14th March, all credit card transactions with a value of more than 250 euros (£210) will likely require a One Time Passcode (OTP) code to be entered to confirm the payment.

How you place orders using your procurement card will change for card activity over £210/ €250.

  • The OTP codes will be sent to the mobile phone number (via SMS) or back up email address registered to the credit card. All division or department cards will need to be registered to an individual to receive the code to complete the transaction.
  • If divisions or departments require more than one person to make credit card transactions (considering cover when staff are on leave) then we have set up the Approve to Buy (A2B) system linked to Smart Data.  Some divisions are already using the system, but if you require access, please email Procurement.
