In preparation for the upcoming Financial Year End 2020/21, we would like to kindly direct your attention to guidance notes, deadline calendar and forms regarding various requests and deadlines for providing information that we require in completion of the University’s financial statements.
In order to assist with Year End process, the Financial Reporting Team is offering “Microsoft Teams drop in sessions” (more details to follow) with Regina Neaves or Aidan Cooley on the following dates:
- 13 July 2021 – 10 -12 am Regina Neaves
- 15 July 2021 – 2 – 4 pm Regina Neaves
- 16 July 2021 – 11-12am Regina Neaves
- 21 Jul 2021 – 10 -12 am Aidan Cooley
- 23 Jul 2021 – 2 – 4 pm Aidan Cooley
If you have any urgent queries or clarifications regarding year end ahead of that time we ask that you please email the Financial Reporting Team.
We do recognise that some of the Year End tasks such as Petty Cash/Cash float (Y1), Stock take (Y2) or Asset register cannot be performed remotely and would require staff member to work on the campus in order to complete these duties. With this in mind, where it may not be possible to access or fully reconcile Petty cash or Stock we would still require Form Y1 & Y2 to be completed to the best of your knowledge with an explanation on what basis your return has been prepared and submitted to Financial Reporting. When you do return to campus we ask that as long as the petty cash and stock have not changed since year end that you check that your estimates are not greatly different to the actual figures.
If it will not be possible to reconcile the above, please provide an explanation as soon as possible.
Where at all possible all the Petty cash/ Cash float expenditure should be recorded in UBW by the 13 Aug 2021.
