The School of English acquires the Maud-Olson Collection of Modern Poetry

The School of English is delighted to have acquired the Maud-Olson Collection of Modern Poetry. The collection is a reconstruction by leading Olson scholar, Ralph Maud, of all the works of modern poetry Olson is known to have owned during his lifetime. In all cases Maud has tracked down precisely the edition Olson read and worked with and the collection thus represents a unique resource for scholars of modern American poetry. It will give new insight into the thought of one of the most influential writers of the last seventy years and will fuel fresh research into the networks that shaped poetry in the postwar period.

The collection will be presented by Ralph Maud in the Special Collections Room of the Library this week.
